Optional Team
Levels 6-10
Once gymnasts have mastered the compulsory levels, they can move on to optional levels. Optional levels allow gymnasts more freedom in choreography, skills, and routine construction. Gymnasts in optional programs often have the opportunity to create routines that showcase their individual strengths and skills, making the sport even more artistic and dynamic.
Optional gymnastics programs usually have higher skill requirements and greater complexity compared to compulsory levels, requiring gymnasts to dedicate more time and effort to training and perfecting their routines. Competitions at the optional level can be more challenging and competitive. Optional gymnasts are judged not only on the execution of their routines but also on the difficulty and originality of their skills. They are also required to keep up with their school work and grades while traveling throughout the country to compete at the highest level of the sport.
During our regular season we aim to attend invitationals that offer competitive competition as well as fun family settings/ events to do in the area of our competition. We attend both local and big invitationals regularly throughout season such as Texas Prime Invitational and the Nadia Comaneci International Invitational.
Outside of our regular season travels, we compete at the state, regional, and Western/ JO Nationals level with our athletes reaching individual event titles as well as All-Around titles. Our program looks to provide an excellent level of knowledge and professionalism through our coaching staff with the intent to send interested athletes to the NCAA. We ultimately strive to help our athletes find a healthy balance as they navigate through youth, while aiming to excel in school as well as their level of sports.

Coach
Brittany
Coach Brittany coaches levels 6-10 for our traveling team of optional level gymnasts. Growing up as a WOGA gymnast she was a former teammate of 2008 Olympic Champion Nastia Liukin and 2012 National Team Member Rebecca Bross. Having competed NCAA Division 1 collegiate gymnastics for EMU, Brittany also has an understanding of the collegiate aspect in the optional world, as well as a strong background in technique with refined skills in beam and floor choreography. As an athlete she achieved event and AA titles at the state, regional, and national level. She has coached multiple state and regional champions, Western Nationals Qualifiers and Nadia Comaneci Award winners. Her passion for the sport and personal drive to give the most to her athletes is unmatched, and her desire to always be better than "yesterday's you" is what keeps her hungry as a coach and striving for more each season.
